It’s November. AKA NaNoWriMo / AKA Movember. If you’re participating in the former, here’re are some tips for getting through 30 days of novel writing. Ian McEwan has some notes on novellas. Myself, I think the form is pretty underrated, but I also kind of agree with Katherine Anne Porter, who once wrote, “Novella is a slack, boneless, affected word that we do not need to describe anything” in her notebook.
