Michel Faber is an internationally bestselling and critically acclaimed author. In addition to the Whitbread-shortlisted Under the Skin (2000), he has written three other novels, The Book of Strange New Things (2014), The Crimson Petal and the White (2002) and a contemporary retelling of the myth of Prometheus, The Fire Gospel (2008). Plus two novellas, The Hundred and Ninety-Nine Steps (1999) and The Courage Consort (2004) and three collections of short-stories, Some Rain Must Fall and Other Stories (1998), The Fahrenheit Twins (2006) and The Apple (2008). Born in Holland, brought up in Australia, he currently lives in the Scottish Highlands.
