Matthew Hays is a Montreal-based journalist and author who has contributed to The Globe and Mail, The Guardian, The New York Times, Vice, Maclean's and The Daily Beast. His book, The View from Here: Conversations with Gay and Lesbian Filmmakers (Arsenal Pulp), won a 2008 Lambda Literary Award. He teaches courses in film studies at Concordia University and Marianopolis College.
