SUZANNAH SHOWLER’s first book, Failure to Thrive (ECW, 2014), was a finalist for the Gerald Lampert Award and named one of the best books of the year by the National Post. Her poetry and non-fiction have appeared in places such as Slate, The Walrus, Maisonneuve, the Los Angeles Review of Books, and Hazlitt. In 2013, she was a finalist for the National Magazine Award for Best New Writer and the Writers’ Trust of Canada’s RBC Bronwen Wallace Award for Emerging Writers. She is currently an MFA candidate at the Ohio State University. The author lives in Columbus, OH.
